Why does Toast eject discs after erasing?

Hi, possibly a stupid question or simple or who knows ... when I erase a CD-RW or DVD-RW in Toast Titanium 7.0.1 the program ejects the disc after finishing the process. No big problem, I just find it annoying. If I erase a disc, I do that because I want to use for burning something on it, why...

    External Firewire disk won't map

Hi, first I thought you were joking ... then after getting more frustrated about this I gave it a try but to no avail. Still only the second partition of the external Firewire hard disk is mounted. Any other suggestion are highly welcome. Thanks. Bernd

    External Firewire disk won't map

Hi, since a few days I have problems mapping my external firewire disk. It's a 250GB disk that I had partitioned into two halfs using Windows XP. I use it with my XP PC and my iBook. I used to connect it sometimes using firewire, sometimes using USB2.0. Since a few days sometime only the second...

iPhoto starts when camera connected - how to switch off?

Hi BarHar, thanks for the speedy reply - I already found a similar solution here, just after I posted this one, but it didn't seem to work for me. I am using a German version of OSX so had to search a little. Under MAXOSXHD/Applications there is nothing, had to look at another place. Just...

iPhoto starts when camera connected - how to switch off?

Hi, possibly a quick and easy one, but I could not find an option in iPhoto nor in this forum. I am on OSX 10.4.6. When I connect my camera to my iBook G4 (or the card reader) iPhoto starts automatically. I prefer to import the pictures in the Finder directly. I could not find an option to...

Extract and convert Audio DVD content for synching to iPod

Is there any way to import/rip songs from an Audio DVD to my Mac, so that I can sync them to my iPod? I know that I will definitely lose audio quality, that's not the point. I would just like to have the music with me ... (Note: I mean to extract Audio DVDs, not the audio from a Video DVD)...

    OSX PDA/Phone?

Yes, I agree, we should have both, a PDA and a telephone ... both in one. Why wouldn't Apple continue, where they stopped with the Newton??? You don't need a keyboard ... and don't look at it as a phone with organizer functionality, rather a digital bag pack/toolbox, sound in and out, color...

    OSX PDA/Phone?

I think one should not think of an enhanced iPod like thing, rather a mini iBook in hand held format like a sort of iPal or something ... that you can really go everywhere with. All the technologies are there ... so why not show the world, what we really need? Apple would not build in...

Can I access my webspace directory from Finder or even map it?

Thanks a lot, I think it works. I tried with another ftp site which worked. But the webspace I want to access doesn't. I think my ISP does not support MACs. I will have to use a ftp client instead... or will try to sort it out with them. At least I know how it work in MACOSX.

Can I access my webspace directory from Finder or even map it?

Hi, I am a newbie to Apple and everything that comes with it, but I sure like it ... I don't have a .mac account but my ISP granted some webspace so I would like to "map" it in the Finder. Since I am coming from Windows, I have to relate to how it's working there. You can map a network drive...
