    Canon S750 Duplex

When I use the Canon s750 on a windows system, it has a way to allow me to print duplex. It prints the appropriate number of sheets on one side (including a blank page if required), then gives me instructions on how to flip the paper over manually, then finishes the print job on the other side...

    Looking for time tracking tool

I'll make no comment about the inverse relationship between ethics and company size. Nope, not a single comment. Tried konfabulator. Have now turned off dashboard, and bill-it works mostly like what I wanted. It's cost me some time as I explored various other widgets of course. Do dashboard...

    Looking for time tracking tool

Sounds promising. How is konfabulator different from the regular dashboard? Do I have to go a "konfabulator" app to see things, or will they just run on my desktop screen? Ah, heck with it, I'll download and give it a whirl, see what happens. thanks! Marc

Applescript detecting file or app open/close?

Thanks folks. I'll have a bash at it when I get some spare time. I've not written any applescript before, but I'm trying to solve a time tracking problem without spending too much money. I figure if I can get a text file to open up every time I close one of several apps, I can at least write...

Applescript detecting file or app open/close?

Can an applescript detect file open/close or application start/shutdown events? Can an applescript sit in the background and open another application whenever it detects that a file has been opened or closed, or an application (other than the one this script opens) has been started or...

    Tiger "custom" Date Formats

Interestingly enough, changing the country doesn't change the preference pain (sic) bug, but it does change its behaviour. If I start with "Canada" then modify things, it displays "Custom". However, it seems to rememer that my last country choice was "Canada" and selects USA-style formats when...

    Looking for time tracking tool

Looking for software that will ask me every N minutes "what are you working on now". I switch often between different projects, and always forget to go the traditional time management and note when I switched. I'd like the computer to do it for me. Anyone know of any free/shareware software...

    Tiger "custom" Date Formats

True, but we're talking about the System Preferences pane here, not just any application. Preferences menu. Changing "Long" to the correct setting resets "Medium" to an incorrect setting. Setting "Medium" then changes "Long" and "Short" back to their (inaccurate) defaults. And so on. That...

    Tiger "custom" Date Formats

I'm also getting the same problem. Apple's version of "Canadian" time standard is pretty screwed up (as in, they think we're Americans). Trying to fix it and not having any luck at all. Direct access to the necessary files would lovely. Anyone?
