OK, well, humour me. :) If I wanted to reset them, how would I do it? I've reset both the PRAM and the NVRAM, so the settings aren't in there.

The weirdest thing happened. I formatted my drive and reinstalled OS X 10.4. I expected that I would have to set up my Apple wireless keyboard and mouse again, but I didn't. The OS recognized them. Why is that?

Thanks. Encrypted passwords is already set to yes. When I try to connect from Windows 98 (and Me now too), I am asked for a password, and the password I enter is rejected. I have turned on Guest access on the server. argh.

I have the same problem with Windows 98. With Windows Me it works OK. I would like to modify the smb.conf file, if I knew where the heck it was.
