ok so for a while every time I inserted a PCMCia cardi nto my 17" powerbook there was a kernel panic.
i've run every possible test and diagnostic until I gave up. I've come back to it a few weeks later and I can insert hte PCMCIa card without the kernel panic - but the computer won't see it...
I bought a pcmcia firewire card for my 17" pb (1.33ghz). As soon as I plug it in the screen goes gray and i get a "You must restart your computer now" message in different languages.
i thought hte card was defective so I took it back and bought a different, more expensive card but the same...
