after creating a custom resolution in SwitchResX and making it the used one, 1920x1200 was back in the monitor pane. Lots of restarts required though. If you wanna see a really weirdly tiled screen, set it 1920x1200 @ 50 Hz. ;-)

That's how they do it? I always had the feeling that my mac was speeding up after running the cron scripts manually, hahaha. That shows how much computer speed can be a matter of ones mind. ;)

What I don't understand is that things like that are sceduled late at night. A normal person switches off the computer when he/she has doen his/her work. Computers eat lots of electric power, and with laptops it's even harder to leave them on all the time. Imo it would be more of sense tho...

I just noticed that I can access ftp servers using 'go to' ---> 'connect to server', which is in first sight a cool feature, showing the server on the dektop like a disc. Unfortunately I am not allowed to read or write on that server, even though I logged in correctly. Any ideas?
