How to show open applications via shortcut?

try command (the apple key)-tab. also, you might try a freeware program called witch. look on versiontracker.com. the regular apple-tab is only for applications, but witch is a switcher between all open windows. super handy.

Best Graphics Card for G4 Sawtooth

In light of Tiger's recent release, along with the introduction of Core Image, I was wondering what graphics card I could purchase for my G4 Sawtooth to take advantage of all the newest graphics technologies included with OS X. Any help would be appreciated. It only has a 2X AGP slot, though...

    FAQ on Apple's X11 server

quick question for the X11 geniuses: i use VNC to admin a remote linux box that has KDE as the desktop environment. VNC by nature is a little sluggish, even on a local network. sure, i could use ssh to compress it, but then it's only slightly sluggish but choppy. it occured to me a few...

    osx newbie questions

i'd have to disagree with arden on this point. if you're running os x, it's good to use your home folder for what it was built for. since os x is a multi user system, each user gets a home folder with some pre-created folders inside, such as Music, Pictures, Documents, Desktop, etc. if you keep...

    CPU affinity

in that case, an alternate solution might be to take a look at apples xGrid app. if you have multiple macs, it might make sense to let the large time-intensive task be distributed to other machines on your network.though, i suppose if you had a mac sitting around, you wouldn't be asking this...
