I need to take my iMac G5 on the plane with me to go to college this semester. I am so scared of breaking something, and i don't have the origional box that it came in. Has anyone managed to do this safely? What is the safest way to go?

Is it a first generation iMac? If so, you definitely need to look at this: http://www.apple.com/support/imac/repairextensionprogram/ You might be able to get it repaired for free - I had a very similar thing.

Yeah... but the website says that they won't take it for the REP in unless it shows the signs. I wonder if anyone knows if the problems I am having are similar the problems that they are recalling... or if they are a different matter all together?
