and just as a footnote to prebinding, some of you might want to go to macupdate or similar and get Xoptimize which will prebind all your third party apps. It took 363.79 secs to prebind 918 files. Increase in launch time is particularly noticable with browsers & other large apps. I had no noticible problems afterwards.:cool:
 
or just type "update_prebinding -verbose -root /" into the terminal. It will even show you what it is doing at the moment (-verbose) and gives you way more information than XOptimize.
