10.1.2 and 10.1.3 are SLOW!!!!

Could anyone tell me why Mac OS X 10.1.2 and Mac OS X 10.1.3 are so slow with starting up?

My iMac DV SE 400 MHz 384 MB RAM takes 1 minute for 'Checking Network' while starting up! Mac OS X 10.1.1 wasn't that slow!

Can I put this 'Checking Network' thing off??

Yes.
If you don't need you ethernet port you can turn it off in systempref./Network/ there is a pop up menu where you can setup the ports you want to use. If you uncheck ethernet it will speed up your startup!
