10.1.5 Update Deleted All User Accounts...

After applying the 10.1.5 update I discovered that all of my user accounts have been deleted. The home directories of both users are still there and I am able to login at root. Unfortunatley, when I try to recreate the user accounts via the Users preference pane, the pane never loads and just stays blank, effectively keeping me from getting back up and running.

I've tried reinstalling 10.1.2 back over the top and then reinstalling the 10.1.5 combined update again with no positive results. Any ideas?
 
this actually happened to me also. i checked through netinfo and discovered there was nothing there under users when i logged in as root! mine fixed itself after i restarted ... although i was REALLY worried for a bit. i would just restart and try to log in as one of your regular users. mine accounts in netinfo just magically reappeared.

sorry i dont have any more concrete advice...
