10.1 will finally recognize my LaCie SCSI CD-RW drive. It also recognizes that a blank CD is not formatted and then starts up the Disk Utility program in an attempt to format the disk. Unfortunately, I can do absolutely nothing with the Disk Utility program. I can use the LaCie SCSI CD-RW as a CD-ROM only (as far as I know).

Just htought I'd share that fact with everyone who has an external SCSI CD-RW.

Hi,
sorry, in the toast beta readme you 'll find that actual no SCSI burner will be recognised.
Let's wait again.

Attached is the reply for AdmiralAK. He inquired about which LaCie SCSI CD-RW I had. According to the Apple System Profiler (Mac OS X):

CD-ROM
SCSI Product Name CRW6416S
SCSI Target 1
SCSI Product Revision 1.0b
SCSI Vendor Name YAMAHA
Product Identification CRW6416S
Vendor Identification YAMAHA
