10.1 Speedup via Disk First Aid?

Like many other people here, I upgraded to Mac OS X 10.1 via a CD I got from an Apple store... and although I loved the new features, and better speed, it still wasn't as fast as what I was expecting...

So I conducted a little experiment today. I booted up from the 10.1 update CD, and searched around the menus, and went into disk first aid, and ran the "repair" function twice, just to make sure (it found a whole lot of errors about "mislinked" stuff)... now, I could just be imagining this, but I think my 10.1 is noticeably faster since the repair... or is it just me? Someone try it and tell me what you think.

I guess that must be the same as booting into single user mode and running the fsck. You will have to do that also several times until you get an okay. But I have not noticed any speed gain after a complete fix.

It could just be the effects of a restart.

As long as it seems faster to you, then who cares? :D
