10.2 on iMac and PowerMac?

I'm looking for a new mac and would like your opinion's.

Basically I'm looking at the new iMac 17" or the new PowerMac. What I'm most interested in is how well 10.2 will run on these machines. Will 10.2 be 50% better on the new PW, I know no one can tell for sure yet, but we can speculate. Also...how good will 10.2 be on the iMac? I read that it will really take advantage from a dual mac, which iMac is not. There must be someone with an 800 MHz iMac which have tried the latest build of 10.2.

Any insights appreciated.

I just thought of something else. Whenever Apple introduces a new PowerMac line does it then maintain the prices from the older product line?

Usually seems to, or at least, is still in the same range. Of course if they did something major like introduced the G9 or something ....
