I have a new g4 pb, previous os 10.1.5. installed jaguar fine
on reboot it goes to login screen fine then shows the finder
for a second, part of quickkeys for a second then bounces
back to the login window.
this was after a full install from the jaguar cd-not the upgrade.
(which is supposed to copy your files and prefs and give you
a clean install)

i think that some startup service like quickkeys is preventing
it from finishing the boot process. is there anyway i can
get into terminal to turn off the services or does anyone
have an idea of what is going on?

really, any help appreciated.

There are a couple of things you can try. If you have OS 9 on your system, boot up in it and disable/delete QuickKeys or any other startup items from there. Or, booting up while holding down the shift key will disable startup items and nonessential kernel extensions.
If these don't work for you, try booting up in single-user mode (holding down command-s while booting up). At the prompt, follow the instructions for mounting (I thing it's "mount u-w /" but don't remember for sure). Then you will be running pure Darwin (Unix), and can navigate to /Applications (or wherever) to delete QuickKeys.
