10.3 monitor out of range

Is there a way to revert to old settings.
I set monitor display too high, now I get monitor saying out of range.
10.3 G-3 tower. Option controll + p+ r did not work.

Tried to reset PRAM.

It didn't chime again? Are you sure you held the keys right after the first chime?
