10.4.4 update and new fonts

i know that with the latest 10.4.4 update, apple updates also some fonts such as Monaco, but i think the new version of this font is ugly

look at the attachment, please
for example, the "@" and the "x" are tightened and the apostrophe is a small square, while previously was a ' like the double apostrophe at its right

is it only for me or it's a known problem?

anyway i've recently tried some tests
the font problem disappeared after a reboot, but it seems to reappear everytime i open ZDE (an IDE for php dev)
i've set ZDE to use monaco as default font and i've problems only with that font, so i think that these things (ZDE and font problem) are connected
the strange is that the font is "corrupted" in the whole system: terminal, mail, textedit, etc

how could it be possible?
