10.4.6 Server Update and AFP Issues

So I'm an idiot and found a few minutes this morning to run the Combo updater......now AFP is F'd Up. I've read a bit online (now that it's too late) about fixing the problem of getting AFP services to start.

So far, I've turned off all sharepoints in Workgroup manager and I can get the service to start, and I turned on access to one thing (the most crucial) and it continues to work. Once I start sharing the other stuff again, it crashes. Any solutions? Should I move all the files to new folders and start over?

This sucks the big one, Apple needs to get their shit together before releasing these types of updates.....
 
I have 9 xServes, upgraded them all to 10.4.6, all ran AFP prior to and after the upgrade fine.

I saw some reports of breakage, I'd try booting into single sign in mode and running disk permissions, some upgrades play havoc with them.
 
if you have a headless xserve, steal a video card from any old Blue and White G3 tower.It makes life easier.
