So, after a few days of fighting it, I finally installed 10.6.8 update for our server, and that really f'ed up our software update service.
now, when a machine that needs to updates, tries to get a list from our server, it shows it it needs like 50 updates... some of which are duplicates like for example, it shows it needs 10.6.8 combo, 10.6.7 combo, 10.6.8 v1, iTunes 10.1, itunes 10.1.1, 10.1.2, 10.2, 10.2.1 etc. in all it says theres are 11 iTunes updates. WTF? it use to just find the latest one.
If I turn off SUS and hit apple servers directly, it says there is a total of 13 updates.
For SUS settings, I had it on: copy ALL updates from Apple, and just changed it to copy ALL NEW updates from apple. No change.
I checked the "delete outdated software updates" box. No Change.
Any ideas?
This was working fine till about noon this afternoon when I put bit the bullet and downloaded this update, and now need it fixed.
