its best to run xbench right after rebooting with as few apps as possible running.

also, while running xbench, dont be web browsing or anything else.
 
I don't quite get why anybody would want to create 'very special' circumstances under which a benchmark runs faster... S'this some kind of "mine's faster/lower/bigger/better than yours" contest? I always let somebody like xlr8yourmac.com do those tests and look where my PB would be...
