Tiger in the US: 129$
Tiger in Europe: 129€

This looks correct to people who don't know that 129$ is actually ±99€. Why do we have to pay 30$ more?

It has always been like that, also with Apple Hardware and other Software... Can't we start some petition?

Often American companies bias the USD-EUR rate in their favour. I think here the issue is a mix of greed, biased exchange rate and local taxes.

Just buy Tiger in USA. Get a friend to ship it, you'll be well within the 30$ difference.

The difference is not 30 $ unless the friend lives in Delaware (where they don't have no sales tax). The average US price gets about 10 % more prive for sales tax, so if the price tag says $ 129, with tax it's most likely $140 - $145. Plus shipping isn't totally free either.
However, if you happen to go to US for a holiday, why not .. wouldn't be a bad souvenir.

Chill out. It's nothing to do with American companies. That price includes VAT. Amazingly enough, it's so overlooked when Europeans factor in price.

Drop the VAT, and you're lower than the USD most likely.

If you want to complain about prices, let's complain about the $600 Canadian difference in the Powermac G5 BEFORE tax is even added on. Well, I'm not going to complain because I have no money to buy one no matter the price. I hope they do lower the prices with the next revision.
