15" PB won't connect to Airport Network

My 15" 1 Ghz PB (10.4.6) won't connect to my Airport network. I have three other macs connected to this same network with no problems. I recently changed the wireless security protocol to WPA2 Personal throughout the network, and all other macs are connected using that protocol. The PB, however, will not connect. I get a "The wireless Network ******* does not support the requested encryption method" message. I don't understand, as all the other macs are successfully connected using that same protocol. Prior to adopting the WPA2 protocol, however, the PB did connect to the network. As always, any help would be appreciated.

ps - already repaired permissions, emptied cache, etc.

sometimes depending on the type of secuirty, your password needs to be longer. If you make a change in the password that you updated on all other macs but the powerbook that can just be it. Maybe you have the password saved or something or forgot.

I had a similar problem and I highly doubt it was the password. I change the password to something totally different...and tried it and it worked. I then re-change the password to what it was before and that also worked. Its not much but thats what worked for me, give it a try and I hope it works.

We tried changing passwords as suggested and then changing them back. No luck. Anyone have other suggestions?

Are you running the latest Airport Extreme firmware on the powerbook? I don't remember WPA2 being an option on the earlier stuff I had. Could be wrong though....
