15" Studio Display keeps powering me down

I have the documented issue with my older model Studio Display LCD monitor where a car radio call in the vicinity causes it to shut my G4 867 (10.3.9) down. Since I live in NYC this unfortunately happens more than rarely. Opening the monitors preference holding the shift/command keys to disable the Display's ability to shut the Mac down doesn't work, because this older model doesn't offer the option.

I've tried several other suggestions (taping a penny over the button, etc) but nothing has really worked. Does anyone know of a way to make this stop?!!

I know at least in a 10.4 machine you can open the System Preferences and use the Displays pane. Once in that Displays pane I could click on the 'Options" tab and check "Disable power button". That might help.

Are you sure this is with the original 15", not the later model? If I can verify that Tiger will give me that, it's worth upgrading for that alone!
