Hello all,
Perhaps somebody out there can help me.
Have a iMac 17" USB 2.0 with OS 10.3
It freezes when you t-boot it (firewire drive). I crashes the hardware test when you do the 8 hrs. loop. It crashes random from 2 minutes to 3 hours.
Harddrive doesn't want to boot anymore but still want the user dir. from it thats why I tried to boot of a firewire drive (powerbook G4).
So there is no way to get access to the Harddisk. Booting of a cd/dvd (original panther and tiger cd/dvd's) freezes too !
What did I do so far:
- start up in single mode (mac locks up with I/O error)
- replaced : the mainboard/ram/power convertor.
Is there any other possible way to access the data then transferring the HD to an other mac ?
Is this an write off ?
thanks
