1GB Ram questions

I have been research on 1GB ram. Most 1GB have 400mhz bus speed. I couldn't find faster than 400mhz. I have see some RDRAM or RIMMS have 800 mhz. My question is beyond 400mhz of 1 GB ram will it work on G5? I saw one article somewhere that new RAM will have 1 ghz. I have no idea what G5's ram allow to run beyond 400mhz?

Anyone have better information about this.

Thanks

Normally, you can probably install faster memory in the G5 (have to wait and see what they will really handle), but what you want to look for right now is PC3200 DDR (which is for 400 Mhz memory bus, except for the 1.6 Ghz model, which uses PC2700 DDR(Don't even inquire about RDRAM or RIMMs, the G5 can't use those) Of course, the 2 or 4 GB sizes will be coming soon, and I have read that the memory controller in the G5 will also support those as well, giving the possibility of up to 32 GB RAM installed (Big money, though) whatever RAM you get, has to be installed in like pairs. If you compare prices, you will see that 1 GB RAM sticks cost (~$250) around triple the cost for 512 MB ($70-80), and to double again to 2 GB is like 5 times as much again! ($1200 to $1500 per stick for 2 GB) :)
