My old G4 (running OSX 10.3) died so I bought a replacement G4 which has OSX 10.4 on the hard drive. I installed my old hard drive into the second drive bay, so now I have 2 drives, each with a different system. I can start up using either drive.
My problem is that when booting on the new system, few if any of the applications on the old disk will run. They are all current apps like Adobe CS, but even the Address Book shows up empty.
My question is: Since I prefer OSX10.4.8, do I really have to reinstall all my apps onto the new disk? Or is there a way to make the apps on the old disk run while the system is on the new disk?
Thanks for your thoughts. --Peter
