Hehe, hey again all. Hey I have this little problem with Photoshop. I was changing some of my desktop icons and found a nice one I changed over for Photoshop 7. What is weird though is now when I double-click on the icon it not only opens Photoshop but two completely different programs also on my desktop. Can anyone help correct this?

Edit, You guys don't think it can be a virus do you?

I toke a screenshot of what other files are opening. I thought it could help if anyone had some ideas. I'm sorry for bringing this up again but I really like to learn what is going on.

Those are disk images, and the vlc one is VideoLAN Client.

There are many reasons why this could be happening. One is crosslinked files. Have you tried starting in single-user mode (restart, hold down command-s until the text streams across the screen) and doing a fsck -y?

Another possibility is that Photoshop has been set to open those images as scratch disks. Delve into Photoshop's prefs and see if there are any such references.

Oh, sounds like we are getting into some technical stuff. Well odd thing is, it didn't start doing this till I simple changed it's icon.

Anyway, what will single-user mode do?

And I did that scratch disks thing and I didn't see anything. here is a screenshot if you can see something I didn't. And thanks for this help.
