37' Sceptre LCD Monitor/HDTV 1080p and PowerMac MDD

I am trying to connect my new Sceptre HDTV to my Powermac G4 MDD via VGA or DVI. In both instances I get 'No Signal' displayed on the screen. I have tested the VGA on my dell laptop and it mirrors as it should. However my Mac refuses to see the monitor.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I have tried resetting the P-RAM without any sucess.

I have an ATI Radeon 9000 Pro with 64MB of DDR SDRAM.

Shouldn't that be able to handle it?

Also the monitor is able to diskplay 640X480. I assume that the computer could at least display that.
