I upgraded to Lion yesterday on my 2.4 GHz core duo iMac. One of my external hard disks is a Seagate OneTouch 4 that runs Maxtor's backup software. This app is called NotificationExec & is a dual-platform program that is not compatible with Lion.
Here's my problem - I have uninstalled and deleted EVERY Maxtor file and app from my system, as well as this particular app. However, it continues to try to boot EVERY 10 SECONDS!!!!! I am fairly savvy with my mac - a user since 1994 - but this one has me stumped.
I did search the software list in System Profiler, btw. The stupid thing shows up there still but I cannot find it anywhere. I searched invisible files, too.
HELP!!! This bit of code is driving me insane!! LOL!
