A 9.2.1 Update or Full Installer Disk?

Hey guys,

I was cleaning around and found a box with some original Mac 8.6 system software discs and a blank/burned CD disk that had "9.2.1" written on it with a Sharpie pen. When I put the disc in the CD drive, it says, "Mac OS 9.2.1" and has all the options of loading the software up. First off, How can I tell if this is an update or a full install disk?
Also, I have begun reading some of the threads regarding having to buy 9 software. If this is a full install disk that could be of use to some, as well as the original 8.6 disks, I would have no problem assisting others. Again, the 9.2.1 disk is not an original Apple disc, like the 8.6 discs, but one that was burned onto a regular blank CD disk.
Thanks :)

If you can boot from the 9.2.1 CD, then it's not an update. I would not hesitate to try installing from it as long as the media is not badly damaged/scratched/super-dirty.
