Access my iBook from another Computer?

Well the question says the lot, I have an iBook and i want to be able to access all files on my HardDisk from work and university, is this possible? If so, what do i need to do?

It's possible, but are you taking the iBook with you? Is it going to be at home? Get specific dude.
 
Personnaly first thing I recommend if you wish to set this up is to have a good router between your IBook and the net. Thats a precaution to take whatever the type of sharing you wish to do.
 
There are so many ways to do this. Here's three:

1. Connect two computers together using a bridge/crossover ethernet cable. (Not just your average ethernet cable; won't work)
2. Through a preestablished ethernet network.
3. Wirelessly.
 
if the ibook is going to be left at home and you have a high speed connection you can set it up for applesharing to it or FTPing to it. or you could put your info in a folder that is listed by apache. if you use apache though I would highly recommend to set it up with an ACL password to get the listing or something like that. Of course any of these would require that your ISP has not blocked the ports required for each protocol.
