Accessing open apps from menu bar

Hey - I have a problem. I like the fact that SNAX puts an icon in the menu bar that lets you select from open apps in a pull-down menu, but I don't have the money to register Snax, and i don't really like the other functions that Snax does. Is it possible that someone here has access to a freeware program that does the same basic thing as the drop down-menu... just like in the old MacOS?

Try menuversum...it's a nifty little program that sithious pointed out to me...you can make your own custom menus, and one of them can be an application switcher menu just like in OS9

go to versiontracker and do a search for it...best part is that it is freeware
