Hi,

I'm new here, and I don't even have a mac, at least not yet, being tired of the mess that Win OSs are I think I'll switch as soon as I can.

But I digress.

Someone I know have a "problem", the activity monitor shows up on the screen at each startup, of course it can be hidden or stopped.

My question is: How to prevent it to show up on the screen at each startup?

Thanks :)

PS: I've already searched for the answer on google and on several forums, but I couldn't find anything...

"Activity Monitor" may be present in their "Login Items", which can be found for the user account in the System Preferences under "Account."

"Login Items" are applications that automatically launch when the user logs in. To prevent Activity Monitor from launching, remove it from this list (if this is, indeed, the problem).

It is indeed the "problem"... I know, it's not really a problem but she doesn't the Activity Monitor window to show at startup :)

There's also a hide option? Maybe it would be better than deleting it from the list?

PS: To delete it, it's the little - in the bottom left corner (read it on a forum), but to hide it so the window doesn't appear?

You are just deleting it from the list of start-up items. You will not delete the program. Whenever she wishes to view Activity Monitor she can just start it up.
