add search engines to the search toolbar

Hi!

I have only recently discovered that mac is by far better than microsoft. However, I have always been fond of firefox, and especially the search toolbar where you could add search engines as google books, google scholar, jstor, project muse etc. to. Does Safari have the offer the same opportunities? I have wasted over two hours to find out, but was unable to find it...

There isn't a built-in way (yet) but you could use this method for adding the custom search engines.
(and the methods that work in Windows work for FF and Opera..)

Why not just continue to use FireFox on OS X?
