Add system alert sound on OSX?

Is that possible?
Either via the GUI or the Terminal.
Im a single/admin. user. I also have root-access, via the login.
If I do it via the latter...just drag/drop the new sound into "System/Library/Sounds", will the new sound appear properly in the SystemPrefs as the rest of the alert sounds?

(going to try, of course but might as well post a question to the more experienced users here)

...Actually, heh...I just fixed it by myself!
All I did was Show info on the folder I wanted to change privileges to, select the privilege arrow to make it show details, unlocked the lock and changed the priv. right there, rebooted and drag/dropped what I wanted - et voila
