Adding a second, faster, Airport Network

Hello!

I have a Mac Pro with no internal Airport card and a wireless network based on a 'g' Airport Extreme Base Station (the white domed one) that serves audio and internet around the house. The Mac Pro is connected by one of its two ethernet ports to the Airport Bas station.

I've had problems with sluggishness with my AppleTV take 2. It takes an age to synchronise with iTunes on the Mac Pro.

It was suggested by the local Apple Store 'geniuses' that I try either fitting an internal airport card or attaching a new 'n' Airport Express to the second Ethernet port and set up a dedicated 'n' to 'n' network to the AppleTV to speed up synchronisation. I've bought the new Express box.

I'm really not sure how to set this up in Airport Utility. I have three setup options:

1. I don't want to add it to the existing network, which is easy to do but will cause the network to be slowed by other devices already on the network. (mostly 'g' Airport Expresses and computers)

2. I've tried 'I don't have a wireless network and want to create one'. However the Apple TV can find it sync to it, but cannot find the internet via it.

3. 'I want to connect Airport Express to my computer or network using Ethernet' sounds good but it looks like it will switch the wireless on the Extreme off.

Any thoughts? Advice? Step by step guides?!!!

Thanks for your help!

Cheers

Jon
