Address Book Crashing When Selecting a Contact

I had to reinstall OS X from my installation cd, after which point I upgraded to 10.3.9 and copied the latest version of AddressBook from my backup, however now AddressBook is crashing whenever I select a contact. When I log in as a guest user AddressBook won't even start up.

I have researched the issue on google, have tried turning off bluetooth and trashing my prefs to no avail. Any ideas? Thanks,
