adobe cs2 help

first off hi to all
can anyone help with a plug in problem for illustraitor cs2
im trying to use a roland vynil cutter/wide format printer plug in
and it wont work

ive tried install/uninstall of the plug-in and still no go
is it just as simple as drag and drop ive followed the install
instuctions put the plug-in in the adobe illustraitor/plug-in folder
then reboot..

did i miss something im fairly new to macs but am a long time windows user
im running a mackbook pro 2.3ghz intel duo 2gb ram 256mb graph, 120hd
so im sure my machine is up to it

any help is helpful.
 
Do you see the plugin in your Illustrator cs2? the plugin might be designed for cs not cs2, is that a possibility?

I've found that plotters are pretty picky in my opinion.
 
Is the plug in pc specific? Then it most likely won't work on your mac. Mac files have two directory forks in their structure, and pc files only one. Hence the incompatibility. This gap is steadily closing, however, with the advent of Intel chip Macs and a more UNIX based system that OS X has become.
 
sorry guys i feel a bit silly the plug-in was for cs not cs1 cs2 i got the updated one from roland it works great
sorry to waste anyones time but thanks for all the help
