I am having some problems to put a cluster of macs to work properly.
I've set up user accounts on one of the nodes and put all the other nodes to authenticate over it (ldap). The home directores are correctly mounted when users log on the nodes BUT only if just one user log at a time on each machine. I heard this is a problem with AFP, and cant be circumvented. As we have users that usually let their applications running for a couple of days and not so many nodes, we really need to allow more than a user at a time.
To circumvent the problem I tried to set up homedirs through NFS. The problem then was with permissions. The home /Users was mounted but users didn't have access to it. I passed through all the documentation I found on apple's site but found nothing that work.
Networking isn't my speciality, and I don't want do delve on configuration files, and don't have much time to spend on it. What I need is a way to set up this nfs home dirs using server admin.
