AIM signs me off automatically after I have talked for awhile.

I have a mac powerbook 15 inch and I installed AIM version 4.7. But after I talk on it for awhile it will sign me off automatticly and says that AIM quit unexpectedly. Please tell me how I can fix this.
 
I don't know how to fix your problem, but have you tried using iChat instead of AIM? You can use AIM through iChat instead of AIM itself.
 
Ive tried using ichat but when i click on it nothing pops up. Ive only had a mac for a few days so I might be doing something wrong
 
Try Adium. It allows you to connect to your AOL, Yahoo, and MSN accounts all from one application. The last time I tried AOL Instant Messenger it was bulky and slow.
 
Ya I tried ichat and got it working. When you first click on it nothing pops up so I didnt really know what it was. But at the top of your screen click on the ichat tap then go down to prefrences. After that window pops up click on accounts. Then enter all your information. It works great with AIM although it does take some getting used to.
