Or a firmware problem. Apple's had those lately with the MBPs' keyboards. The keyboard on the MacBook Air is mighty fine, I think. I find the trackpad too big, wish it were like the MB's. I'm not fond of multitouch-TPs on notebooks. 2-finger rightclick and scrolling is superb, but the three-finger stuff and rotating thingie is too much for me.
 
I've installed all the MBP keyboard updates to no avail. Is there a remote possibility to replace my keyboard with the Air keyboard?
 
Not possible. And as I've said: It's probably a firmware issue, not hardware.
