Does anyone know of a utility that can monitor the modem activity of an Airport Extreme Base Station? Perhaps a docket widget that shows if it's connected and maybe even the connection speed.
 
Aiport Radar will list all the wireless stations your Mac sees. Make sure you change the channel in your Airport Extreme to something no one else is using in your range. MenuMeters will monitor your throughput through the machine.
 
Thanks, Satcomer, but those don't help me. I use the Airport as a backup, via modem, for my usual internet connection. As such, any machine on my network can send a request that causes the airport to dial the phone. I want a little display on my wired server that will tell me at a glance whether the modem is connected or idle.
