When I play ITunes music through Airport Express to my stereo receiver, the music periodically cuts off and then back on again.
I've gone into Airport Administrator Utility and changed the multicast settings from 1 to 5.5 to 11, but that does not seem to help. I have interference robustness on. The airport signal icon at the top (which I assume works like a tower signal strength icon on a cellphone) starts out showing all four bars lighted, but diminishes to only one bar. My Apple software is all up to date. This problem renders the wireless connection for playing music useless. Is there a way to fix it, or am I in a neighborhood with too many 2.4 GHertz cellphones and is that doing it? When I first hooked up the airport, playing music worked just fine. I have OSX Tiger and last year's 14 inch IBook with a G-4 chip. Maybe I don't have enough memory. Thanks for your help.
