Airport express Email

i just hooked up a cable modem and an airport express to enable wireless connection, the internet is working and i am receiving email but am unable to send now - i keep getting messages that the connection to my .mac server has "timed out." what can i do to get my emai sending properly?

Well some ISP block the logical ports to use EXTERNAL mail. They claim is to stop spammers, and they do somewhat.

So just use a different SMTP port (587) instead of the default setting (Mail->Preferences->highlight you >Mac account and in the "Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) select the pull down for smtp.mac.com(username), then the "server Settings. In the server settings change the "Server port" to 587. Then make sure below that your .Mac username and password are correct.
