AirPort Extreme can't load some websites

I upgraded to AirPort Extreme from the previous router because my Mac would drop the wireless 802.11n connection way too often. I setup AirPort Extreme to connect through PPPoE to my optical fiber cable device. Since then the connection is fast and never drops. On the other hand it seems I cannot access some websites. These include quite a few domains, and also almost all https secured connections. For example, in a website like eBay everything seems to go well until I need to access a secure page over https. Same on Amazon.com and several others. Switching back to the old modem seems to solve the issue, but then I get the old problem of the connection constantly dropping.

Ha yes, it sounds like a DNS issue. One thing you did power off the modem (for a least 5 minutes) before changing before putting the Extreme on the modem? A modem uses MAC (Media Access Control) Address to connect to the first device connected to it. Turning the modem off for a little while cause the ISP server to search for a new MAC address that is connected to the modem.

Plus open /Applications/Utilities/Airport Utility and get into the Extreme's setup. See that it is getting the DNS settings from the ISP, or you could use either OpenDNS.Com or Google's Public DNS and put in there DNS server manually in the Extreme.
