I have a dual 1.25 ghz powerpc G4 that uses a Tiger system and an airport base station to communicate with other macs and pcs. When I try to install an airport extreme card in my powerpc, it does not recognize the card even through the manual for the powerpc discusses how to install the airport extreme card. Does this have anything to do with the early version of the airport base station (it is not airport extreme base station)? Shouldn't this earlier version of the base station work with airport extreme?
