OK, This is a hard one....I wish I had one of those extreme mothership basestations and so I am trying to simulate one using a pc and cheap wireless router to provide both dialup and printserve functionality.
Some info:
1) I am in a location with only dialup. Ouch!
2) I would like to use Safari wirelessly on the couch with my powerbook.
3) I have a nice Windoz laptop with a good modem and broken screen.
So... I bought a wireless router (D-link 11g) and have gotten everything connected--trust me, the mac/win connection is not a problem (i.e. I can print wirelessly from my mac to a printer connected to the XP machine and I have shared folders etc.)
My problem is that I can't figure out how to use the XP laptop's modem from the mac via the router to connect to my ISP. Yes, I have shared the modem on windoz (ICS)
If I had a WAN connection, it would be trivial to connect it to the router, but how can I get my Mac to use the dialup connection on the networked PC? I have tried everything I can think of.
I am thinking it has to do with ICS and the router DHCP conflicting?
Got ideas?

P.S. Someone elsewhere said that he solved a similar problem with some sort of proxy server setup....Huh? Dunno about that stuff... I would like any info....Gratz
