AirPort Extreme not connecting

Hello,
Lost my nerve trying to set up AirPort Extreme, it just won't connect to my PowerBook. Have had the airport couple of years now (oldish but that shouldn't be the problem) and really need to get it working.
Our connection is HomePNA and we've got "Ethernet to HomePNA converter". I quite sure all cables have been connected, when trying to connect, to right places but still...

Did you run the AirPort Setup Assistant in Utilities? No matter what, I can't get any AirPort basestation or Express. Just to clarify, your are asking about the basestation/express not the actual card in the PC?
