Airport Installation

I have an old Powerbook 3400 running 9.1.

Is there a way I can get an Airport card to work on it?

When I try to install the drivers it says it won't work with my system.

I know people out there have gotten airport to work on these laptops but I'm not finding any information on it.

Any suggestions?

:D Yes you can use a farallon wireless skyline card. It comes with the necessary drivers etc..

Dear All,

All you need in your PowerBook 3400 is a PCMCIA slot for the wireless card. As above, I recommend that you use a Farallon SkyLINE 11Mbps PCI card. It comes with all the drivers and it works a treat on Airport 1 basestations. Please note, that if you have Airport 2 base stations and have the 128bit encryption enable, the card will NOT work. You must have 40bit encryption on or off all together.

Hope that this information helps.
