hi. im a new macbook user and iv been having a problem connecting to any wireless network. i can connect it here at home because i restart the router and everything. but how can i connect it at school when i cant restart the router. it doesnt connect automatically as others said it would and im just really frustrated.

please help me. thank you in advance!

Open System Preferences, then "Network."

Select your wireless network connection in the left-hand sidebar, then set the pull-down menu labeled "Network:" to your school's network name. If the network requires a password, you will be prompted to enter one.

Once you connect successfully to this network, your computer should automatically reconnect next time you're in range.

If you wish to be prompted to connect to any available wireless networks when you haven't connected to any before, click "Ask to join new networks" in the "Network" pane of the System Preferences.

When i was in highschool, there either wasnt wifi available, or it was locked.

So are you sure that it isnt locked?
