Airport stopped working

My AirPort randomly stopped working the other day. The modem works fine when I plug the ethernet directly into the computer. I can print through AirPort (computer sending print job wirelessly to the router, printer is plugged into the router.) and when I went to a tech shop, they tried it and it worked perfectly for connecting to the internet. It's not the computer because neither my or my mom's computer can connect. It says that the connection is getting full signal, however, when it first stopped working, a few days ago, it would say "connection timeout". I've tried restarting it, it has reverted back to the name "Apple Network 515215" but still has the same problem. Any suggestions?

First try a factory restart on the wireless access point. Cheap access wireless routers DO go bad after a couple of years. That is why they are constantly patching them with "firmware". TCP/IP is an open standard since before the Internet so IMHO these cheap manufactures are testing these routers they sell again Windows XP that they have pirated in the far East.

We had a client who had a similar issue, but their Airport only refused connection to our server. I've done a lot of research into Airport issues and they are many, and they are unsolved. I hope you can find an answer.

How many other wireless networks are there visible in your location?
I get intermittently really sucky connection dropping out all the time - when some of the wireless networks in the house interfere (those of other apartments). If there are 10 networks showing, maybe some of them share your channel. If all devices get the same connection problems, that may be the case. (Solution in that case: change the channel)

But, some airport logs would be good to have a look at.
